The #1 All Time Best Motorhome Ever Made
This should be fun for all .....
Based on:
Reliability (resulting in peace of mind, savings, durability),
Quality (does it work right and does it last),
Customer Satisfaction (how much do owners love it and want another like it),
Comfort (enjoying all individual features when driving or living in),
Convenience (everything thought through and laid out smartly),
Value (getting the most for what you paid for it),
Reputation (remembered positively over time)
Cost (only in the sense that a reasonable percentage of RVers would consider it good value no matter what price range)
Which motorhome make, model, size, and/or year do you consider the best ever made to date? The one you have heard/read such good things about that you would dream owning, have owned, would buy again, or would suggest to someone if they asked you.
If it helps, think of it being 1000 yrs from now and someone wanted to know what a motorhome was and they discovered pics describing one. Which motorhome might deserve to be the best example to be remembered as the perfect example?
You can only pick 1. And please, no need to qualify it by who is buying it or what their individual needs might be. Just spit it out. Pick 1 motorhome you would nominate as being the best year(s), make, model ever made.
I would probably nominate an early 21st century Safari Trek. Quality, good value, comfort, ease of use, something everyone can relate to and use in many different capacities. Those who have owned them seem to love and be proud of their uniqueness, practicality, and all around comfort and usefulness.

We have a National Tradewind and consider it one that we like and have not heard any complaints from any owners that we have talked to.
Yes it is an orphan but it was when units were built for quality not quantity and profit.

Depends on what size you want. It could be anything from a VW bus to a GMC motorhome, to an Airstream or older Bluebird.
Modern motorhomes with slides place more focus on "home" than "motor".

As the owner of a 2002 Safari Trek 2830 this is a hard one, I do fall into that I love my Trek view point, and would rather have it (or maybe a 2005 -2006 Trek on the W18 or W20 chassis vs my P32 chassis, even if the build quality had started to drop some by 2005) than anything I see on the market today regardless of cost.
Having said all that the first things that jumps into my mind are a bus chassis Wanderlodge so pre-1995? when they switched to being just another Spartan Chassis motorhome. Or a unibody Foretravel U320, so again in that same age range. Then of course there is the classic 1970's GMC motorhome, which is probably the all time number one choice. Now in the real world there is the practical matter of caring for and maintaining a motorhome of this vintage, which gets harder every year, not only for maintenance but also for parts availability and that is a large part of the reason I don't own one. Also some of this is nostalgia, as when honestly viewed some do lack in the ergonomics department, which is where designs of the last few years really shine.

That's an easy one! Everybody knows it's a 2002 Monaco Windsor!

Me, too. Our 1999 Trek is fine, but a slightly newer one would be even better

And, Treks definitely fit this comment:

Well, if # of buyers/units sold count, it would likely be the Winnebago Adventurer (though I have never had one).
