I've used GS RA a few times in the past and been very satisfied. Haven't used them recently and wonder about the negatives I've read... although I see +/- posted about the top 3 so still wondering. I'm paid thru April - haven't received any letter yet - other than the EARLY reminders to renew.

Have recently joined FMCA so their RA policy is a possibility.

Still reading & interested in others experiences
Per the letter, you must have Platinum for a motorhome. Standard is still available for trailers.

I see that's what you and the letter stated - my point it that's not consistent with what they have posted on the website...

Funny how insurance works; They din you with mail to buy, then, when you want to use what you pay for, they deny, deny, deny. We have AAA Premium, RA with our MH insurance, and RA with our MH extended warranty. Heaven help me if I need to file a claim!

If I really wanna cry, I'll tally up all the car insurance we've paid over 40+ years with no claims......You think they would send me a christmas card from their yacht in Aruba.......

Well this looks like a win win for FMCA. Hopefully they donít get a big head and raise rates due to lack of competition with all the people bailing on Good Sam.

I started my good Sam in June. I wonder when I will get my letter.

I have a feeling I recycled the letter with all the junk I get from Good Sam-Camping World. But when I signed in to my account, I see that now I am a Platinum Member. Huh. I have used them twice, but only for automobile tows. They were fine for that.

I know it isnít but price gouging should be considered when a 150 dollar tire increases by 200.

I started receiving renewal notices beginning of Dec 2016 for a policy that was good through April 2017. Five months to go and they're telling me I need to renew. I finally did over the phone. Guess what, they put me on auto-renew without my knowledge or consent. Last week a $1 pending charge on my CC showed up from them. I called and was informed that they were seeing if my CC on file was still active. I told them to remove me from auto renewal, almost 2 weeks and pending charge is still there. Oh and my coverage is good for almost another 5 months.

There is some incorrect information being posted here. I just got off the phone with GS. If you have a "Standard" policy now you will be automatically upgraded to "Platinum" until that policy expires. At that time you will have to renew with a Platinum membership. My Standard road service policy expires in Jan 2020, I'm covered until then, at no extra charge.

If in doubt call them: 888-884-8826

Coach Net has raised their rates dramatically as well. I'm no GS fan, but I've been wondering how they managed to keep the RA rate low when everybody else is increasing. I suspect the contractors who do the actual roadside work have simply declined to work anymore for the fee that GS RA was offering.
