Thinking used vs new Class A Diesel, but..

...what's with the several used units with less than 10000-15000 miles on them. They are hardly broken in at that point. Confused.

A lot of folks purchase a new rig thinking they are going to do a lot of traveling then for family reasons or the hassle of driving/maintaining the rig they back off and only take a few short trips. We purchase a 2 year old gaser back in 2009 that only had 1400 miles on it... that is about what the mileage is to deliver it to Texas from the factory. Don't know the story but it was a repo.

A lot of people aren't meant to RV and they learn the hard way.

We purchased our 2016 with a little over 6k on it. Owner traded it in for a 5th wheel that they were gonna leave in a park in Florida somewhere. I don't mind someone else taking the hit on depreciation.

We typically only put 6,000 or so miles a year on ours as it's turned out we go on a trip each summer with very little use the rest of the year. That's not how we envisioned it, but I get too involved in other things in our community that limits our available time. We're rethinking that...not getting any younger.

Same here, purchased 3 year old MH with 3,400 miles on it, and like Texnet said its about 1,400 miles from factory to Texas, so my seller put about 2,000 miles on it in 3 years. In my case, seller said they thought they would use it more, but realized they did not have the time they thought they would. Low mileage is pretty typical, don't sweat it.
