Tire safety

5 days ago bought 1st class A MH, new 2016 Windsport 35C from Camping World Jacksonville Fl. Bought the tire protection plan & got it home to discover we picked up a nail deep in the grove of the passenger outside rear tire. Holding air just fine. Safe Guard, the umbrella insurer of the tire protection plan wants me to drive it 50 miles to Camping World Tampa rather than have it replaced here at my home. Having never owned a motorhome, is it safe to do that? What if the nail works out on the highway? Can the tire blow due to low pressure & tear up the wheel well area? Should I insist they send a company here to my home to replace it (will cost them more money)? Any thoughts? Ron

Sorry, but I wouldn't be driving it anywhere. If it blows, it's going to cause a lot more damage than just the cost of a tire.
Check with that company and see if they will cover any damage to the motor home if the tire blows and causes several thousand dollars damage, because of THEIR requirement.

Don't you have a spare? They may have thought you have one.

No spare to be had. I just talked with Camping World JAX and they said it should not be driven. I have Sam's Club Elite Road Assist and I should call them to get it taken care of properly. Much thanks for your replies. Safety first! Ron
