Tires

Have been shopping for new tires. Checked some local tire companies and on line. Looking for recommendations on the best way to go. Kinda like the idea of tires shipped to the installer and installed at your location.
Have been pricing Hancook and Toyo 245 70R 19.5 tires. People on this site seem to like these brands. Would like to know what others think and have payed for tires in their area.

Isalem --

About a year ago I purchased a new set of Hankook AH37 tires for my coach using the FMCA tire discount program with Hankook. Through that program I paid ~$325 per tire which was 60% below dealer price. The tires with about 5,000 miles of use have performed very well, provide a smooth ride and cost considerably less than purchasing Michelin's or Continental's. I purchased my Hankooks through Southern Tire Mart which has many locations throughout the Southern U.S.

Hankook has a tire in your size in their AH35 model that looks very similar to my AH37 tires. I highly recommend Hankook tires --> https://www.hankooktire.com/us/files...BR_catalog.pdf

Hankook is no longer listed on the FMCA site. I ordered 6 of the Continental HSR2 sa tires for my VTDP.

Yeah, I too noticed that the FMCA program apparently is no longer offering Hankook. However, as some here have said --and as I just talked with somebody very recently who was researching purchasing tires-- you can often and most likely come close to or beat the FMCA program prices if shopping around.

I agree that Hankook is an excellent product and it's included in my "favorites" group along with Toyo, Sumitomo/Falken, and Yokohama.

In my search for tires I found this company. I like their price and a big plus for me was they will replace tires anywhere. They came to my home and changed the tires. If interested its motorhometires.com. They carry all brands. I decided on giving TOYOs a try.

I checked motorhometires.com and they were $700 higher than FMCA pricing on 6 Conti 275/70x22.5.
