YES.........
Tow/Haul increases the shift points (higher rpm before up shifting) AND will Downshift sooner to help slow down
Use it, play with it, figure out when you want to use it.

As soon as I start the engine I turn on Tow/Haul and cruise control.
I wish T/H came on automaticly, like U Haul trucks.

They claim they have improved the transmission shifting so much that many times tow/haul is not needed or it works way better.
But unlike their HP and torque curves they publish zero information on what they're doing with the transmission and would not tell me when I asked. They just say they improve it.
It may also depend on whether you have a 4, 5, or 6 speed transmission. We have the 6 which works well for us.

Any time the engine is started the T/H should be turned on. Remember a MH is always hauling, they are always loaded even when delivered to a dealer.
Yes T/H can and should still be used with a 5star tune.

Dodge Guy and some others got it! You are always 'hauling'. I too wish it came on as the default setting.
Thanks,

There can be times where you're driving on level terrain, maybe a slight downhill or a tailwind and turning off the TOW/HAUL may help with some mpg.
The old test for TOW/HAUL mode......TOW/HAUL mode OFF.....try and accelerate, if the coach accelerates reasonably well, you're okay, if there isn't much acceleration, you need to turn TOW/HAUL mode back ON.
The only downside is when the conditions change, and you forget to turn the TOW/HAUL mode off. If you're towing, it would pretty much be leave it on all the time.
Has anyone ever asked Ford if the TOW/HAUL mode could be set as the default. Modern computers allow for a bunch of changes.

How would Tow /Haul on or off, on a flat road, make a difference in MPG ?,
It changes the shift points not the gear ratios.

When we had the 2013 Tiffin Allegro 36LA, we turned on the T/H when in the hills/mountains. We did not use on the plains/flatish ground.

Ford TOW/HAUL EXPLAINED:
https://fourwheeltrends.com/fords-tow-haul-mode/
I BELIEVE A Ford engineer once explained that compared to the older OD OFF, the TH features additionally forces downshifts by tapping brake, where ODO does not? Maybe a few other additional features? Will try to research further and find that detail.

I don't know where you found that link but it's not from America and not what our Tow/Haul is.
I'm betting that you have never driven a Ford with it.
