Trickle Charging Chassis Batteries

I'm having an issue with my chassis batteries not charging while on shore power. Yet to determine the cause.

Q: Can I connect a trickle charger to the chassis batteries while on shore power without risking damage to the coach or trickle charger? Thanks.

Absolutely, I had battery tender that quit, now I have a genius smart charger. Seems to work fine. I also do quite a lot of boondocking so I installed a 70 watt solar panel and a 30 amp solar charge controller just to keep the chassis batteries topped up. This is on an Allegro Bus. It came with a battery tender installed from factory.

Our Phaeton has a battery tender standard from factory. Go for it.
