Nice coach. Be aware that some years of the ISX engine have serious problems. Bad enough to scare away any buyers. I do not know if that coach has one of the bad engines. Being an 09 it would be one of the last years of CC. It may have an earlier leftover engine.Earlier CC's had problems with crazing of bad body panels. Do not know if that coach is one of them. That dealer is mostly consignment units. I do not know if they are CC experts. They sell a lot of Prevost units.

Thank you! The Coach recently had $35,000 Spent on a re-paint and I am told looks stunning. The engine is a huge concern most of my research has focused on Cummins in my Newmar, Tiffin, shopping and very surprised to see how long Cummins let this issue ride.
Seems 650n are the bad boys and many 600 the 500 and 550 had a few in comparison to 600/650 This is a 500.
I appreciate your comments.
Best,
Jeff

We have an oh six intrigue. Love it. A 500 horse Cummins should be ok. Beautiful.

Be aware at the very end in 2009 country coach was building whatever they could with supplies on hand, so some of the last coaches they built were built as mix and match with non matching furniture, carpet , window placement, etc resulting in some non standard layouts

Not a bad looking coach but I would also take a look at the '07 Intrigue also. There is a $75K difference in price and 75 large will do a lot of upgrades such as new tires, battery's, etc.
I like the dining seating on the '07 much better than on the '09. It will have an extra leaf so you can seat 4 if needed.
Not sure about the Cummins being a pre DEF motor seeing as how it is in an '09 coach, which was the year the Howard brothers took the company down the tubes

Regarding the valve issue on the Cummins my understanding is any Cummins shop will repair under warranty if the damage is not already done.
About 3 months ago Cummins did a different recall repair on my 2012. They assured me no other known issues.
So given above I am enjoying those 600 ponies

We were recently at a shop in Nacogdoches, TX and was surprised to hear that they reported it can be difficult getting older Foretravel parts! How tough is it obtain coach parts for CCs?

Ther are many thousands of CC units on the road. Parts are available. What makes you think that even mfrs. who still exist have parts for older units? Mfrs. of RV's are not compelled to provide any parts out of warranty. The appliance mrs. are responsible for their appliances. If a fridge is over 5 years old often there are no parts. The chassis is usually comprised of off the shelf parts.

Good to know that used CC coach parts are still available. The shop did say Foretravel stopped with supplying coach parts on units not that old and I didn't ask how old. He mentioned the need to custom make body part repairs. Maybe the Foretravel coach parts are more difficult to find because of the lower volumes of sales vs CC.
With Newmar I've seen even a couple of Newmar 5th wheels being worked on at their Customer Service Center. Didn't even know they made 5th wheels at one point..... Also met a couple with an 05 Dutch Star at the facility where they had a lot of work conducted on it.
