water pump fuse keeps blowing

Whenever I stop driving and switch to battery power or plug into power or start the gen(I don't know which)my water pump 12v fuse blows and sometimes my water heater fuse when I turn it on.I've temporarily connected the pump to my bin lites to keep the wife travelin,could sure use some help.thanks ,Larry

Hi ldsord,
I do not know the Discovery coach. However, if a fuse blows, it is either a short to ground or too much power is being drawn through the fuse. Either way, you'll need to get your meter out and start determining if there is a short to ground. That's where I would start.

Also, consider asking the Fleetwood Owners' forum this question. The solution may be unique to the Fleetwood Discovery.

IIRC, Radio Shack used to sell a small manual describing the use of VOM/VTVM (VoltOhmMeter and VacuumTubeVoltMeter). Good primer for any RVer
