Water tank filling - hose only connection...

Recently bought a '07 Class A which has city water (i.e., hose connection) only. Just wondering how big an issue that will be if one is planning to camp primarily in provincial and national park campgrounds (western Canada) as well as municipal ones with no hook ups? Previous experience was in a rental Class C that had both city and gravity feed.

My Newmar is the same, no gravity fill ; BUT ; it also has a valve and a pick up tube for RV anti-freeze that hooks to the 12 volt pump .
If I place the tube in a 5 gal. jug and turn the valves the 12 volt pump will draw the water and turning the tank fill valve, runs the water into the fresh tank in 2 minutes .

Have a look to see if your new coach has anything similar .

Thanks It is a Coachmen Mirada with the 4 lever panel for diverting water. There is a winterize setting and a winterize inlet connector, which I think is for sucking in anti-freeze.

So a long enough hose and a bucket is what I need?

The RV parks that don't have water at the sites will probably have a common faucet for everyone to use. Just ask for the location! If you're boondocking then you will have to fill the tank before you go out.

Something like this would work if your plumbing is not going to work as described in other posts. Add a couple cheap wash in machine hoses and gender change fitting.

Can't get link to go to page search water pump.
