What do you eat when on the road or out for a few weeks or months?
In the process of getting a coach later this year and was wondering what are common foods to eat and cook on the road that are healthy?
Been watching some Youtube channels on eating more healthy foods while on the road was wondering what those that have been already out there do?
Here is one of the Youtube videos of what NOT to eat and why...

If you eat healthy @ home, just replicate that diet on the road. Simple?

Very much the same as at home. I grill most evenings weather permitting. We seldom eat out while traveling.

With us cereals hot and cold are normal for breakfasts. Lunches usually granola, yogurt, fruit and cheeses and maybe deli meats. Dinners are typically stir fry with a varied mix of vegetables along with either tofu chicken or shrimp. instead of rice we typically use quinoa. We seldom eat out. We typically can store enough for 7-10 days and will usually shop at a Trader Joe’s if one is within striking distance of where we are going.

We grill chicken, sausage, pork chops, smoke brisket and salmon and vacuum pack them and freeze until needed. We do this normeraly at home so the freezer is full of pre packaged meals, ready to load into the motorhome freezer for trips. When on the road for several weeks we carry a grill and just resupply the freezer when cooking a meal.

We eat the same in the rig as we do at home. I have a stove, a microwave, an oven, and an outside grill plus a nice residential refrigerator. No reason to eat differently than at home.

wouldn't the so-called healthy foods you cook at home be the same foods on the road??

We use a elec pressure cooker at least once a week and then left overs. For the price of one meal dining out, we can buy enough groceries for a weeks worth of healthier home prepared meals. It's no different then when we lived in a house. Why change eating habits/style unless you want too?

We basically cook the same way we do at home. A couple of times a month we will eat dinner out and many lunches are out as we are out and about exploring.

Diet
In 6 months out and about last year, Mexico, USA, Canada, we ate out about 10 times. We both like to cook, the dear wife is better than I, and we pre-plan a few days in advance.
Simple is best, as is outdoors cooking on the bbq, grille or using the insta-pot.
Breakfasts can be as simple as avocado and tomato on a slice of toast with a good slather of mayonnaise. On the road, snacks are celery and PB, pepperoni and strawberries, maybe a hard boiled egg. Lunch is usually soup and salad. Dinner can be a fresh bought steak with some potatoes or rice, or a simple pasta dish.
We love to travel, we love to cook, we like to eat healthy 90% of the time.
It’s all good. Planning is essential in everything RV.
Cheers
DJ

I really like to Cook on our Blackstone (22" with legs and hood) as well as our Smoker (GMG Davy Crockett).
Breakfast is pretty much anything I can cook on the griddle, lunch the same or sandwiches and dinner is either something smoked (Brisket, Pulled Pork, Prime Rib) of Steaks.
We also make Burgers, Fajitas is a favorite and we also have a pizza oven that goes on top of the Blackstone
