What Road Atlas To Buy?

I've been looking to buy the FMCA Road Atlas, however, the price is $17 + $13 shipping. Anyone have a good alternative you use for a Class A.

Thanks in advance for your recommendations

Go to a truck stop and purchase a trucker atlas.

Our backup plan

We carry a copy of Rand McNally 2021 Motor Carrier Atlas as a backup in case our GPS breaks down.

If I was going to buy a map it would be the Rand McNally Truckers Map.
It’s the best.

Agree about the trucker atlas. You're still going to spend a few dollars though, but at least you'll get an atlas with more usable data.

spring for the spiral bound...pricey but worth it. it will lay flat on the dash. one that's a year or two old will be less expensive.

25 years with a CDL and the good old Truckers Atlas never let me down. I still use the original one I bought way back when, although it is starting to get pretty out of date.

They never lose signal, or tell me to "Make a U-turn" LOL

I'm still an Analog Guy in a digital world! If you have a Pilot or Flying Hook card, you might even get a discount on one in the truck stop!

Not a huge revelation but in case they don't show up all in main titles of ads Atlas are sold in large scale as well 33% larger Truckers Atlas.

We keep a Trucker's Atlas on board. You can get them at almost every truck stop.

For what its worth, Good Sam/Camping World has several atlases, including a Rand McNally version with Pilot/Flying J locations right on the maps.

I've always carried a Trucker's Atlas, but I did order the FMCA atlas. Honestly it is expensive...but much more suited for RV use. I like it. It's not like one buys these things often...so my advice would be to get the FMCA version.

The valuable part of the trucker atlas isn't the maps - it's the charts/tables and other information about weight and height restrictions. On the maps, you'll also see recognized truck routes highlighted in orange. These are all quite helpful if you're trying to find your way out of an unknown area after being dumped from the main road due to a detour.

I agree. The truckers atlas is the only way to go. Spiral addition.
