Curious what 4th lug is for on isolator diagrams are sparse...but one shows to ignition?

It's for the sense function of the alternator. Electrically it's located after the diodes and accounts for their voltage drop.
Depending on the physical location of the isolator it might be easier to find any always hot wire/terminal that's also electrically after the isolator.

Wow, you learn something every day on this forum. Don't have a diode isolator on my rig but that makes total sense. Good call.

I should elaborate just a bit, the always hot wire should be always hot when the ignition is on.
then you call it the ignition wire, as it is NOT always hot, confusing and NOT true, a always hot can have a purpose but not if you want the chassis battery isolated from house, thus the ignition wire connects and disconnects chassis from house circuitry !!!
