Welcome Rick57 to irv2.
Looks like you have water line in correct inlet, the one further to right would be to clean out your black holding tank, the suction one I would guess would be for draining water out of water system and fresh water tank.

well I guess I have a problem because when you turn the water on it comes out of a open port and when you push the handle in it leaks out of a different port any ideas thanks

The suction line is for winterizing or sanitizing - it allows the water pump to suck from an external container, e.g. antifreeze or a bleach solution.

Not sure what the push/pull handle is supposed to do - haven't seen that on a National RV product before. Maybe an owner modification?

I was trying to read the instructions in the photo, but it seems to refer to an unlabeled valve. The PM or FM valve? Can't quite read the letters.

Maybe somebody in the National RV Owners Forum has one like this. Or knows what it should look like.

The water inlet should have a check valve behind it so water won't come out when you're using the pump and there's no hose attached. The check valves usually have an O-ring in them for a shut-off seal, and the O-ring could be damaged or dislodged allowing water to come out the inlet when no hose is attached there. That could be one reason water comes out sometimes.
