Who finances motorhomes older than 10 years?
Having issues with people getting told they can't get financing. Need to sell my 2006 Fleetwood Jamboree and this seems to be a big issue. Anyone have suggestions on where I can direct people for financing? Clearly people are getting loans from somewhere.
Thanks

Problem is that a lot of financial institutions won't deal directly with the consumer but lend to consumers through dealers. BOA is a good example of this.Good Sam had financing through I believe Essex Credit.

About the only place that would consider that would be a credit union. Bank of the west might be able to do it.

We could have gotten a loan...but the interest rate was higher than we thought was reasonable for us (vs. investment returns), so we paid cash instead.

I am financed through Alliant CU (Chicago/Des Plaines IL). They are actually the former United Airlines Employee CU (how I joined). Now open to many more companies etc. And yes, you can do everything online and over the phone.
I highly recommend them. I have also financed cars and several snow mobiles with them.

I take my coaches to a consignment lot and they take care of financing the buyer.

How does this help the OP in any way. He's asking for places that might be able to finance future buyers of HIS RV. You're saying he should just tell everyone to pay cash.

If the buyer has a good relationship with his local bank or credit union then he could probably get a personal loan with proper collateral.

When I looked into it there were many, credit union, good sam even my local bank.
The interest rate and term after 10yrs is the kicker plus money down.
