Windshield stress fracture

Last year almost to day our nat tropical LX windshield developed stress fractures in lower corners of windshield. Upon returning from trip 4 days ago noticed a crack in the lower left. Last year insurance comp, good Sam, required a cap inspection and modification if necessary prior to them re insuring for windshield damage. We spent over 5000.00 dollars to guaranty rv, inc, junction city, or. For the job. Now, less than a year from repairs and around 3000 miles on coach I am hearing they probably will not make good on repairs. My question is what is a reasonable period of time and mileage for a reputable company to stand by work? Prior to last years work all I heard was how good they were at doing front caps. Any advice? In addition we are around 500 miles from Junction City. Are expenses an unreasonable request?

If Guaranty RV INC, doesn't stand up and redo the work, at their cost, call you insurance company. You insurance adjuster can call them and work it out. I called numerous repair places for our clients when I was doing damaged car estimates for Farmers.

Your insurance company can black list them if they don't stand up to their warranty and they will loose a lot of business from other insurance companies as well.

Did you work with your insurance company to have the work done?

Did they (insurance company) provide some sort of acceptance of repairs or certification of your repairs?

It would seem that the insurance company requiring a structural modification to be made in order to remain insured that they would require some sort of engineering and certification to be in place.

After all of that...

If it was certified then call insurance and direct them to get it fixed.

If they worked with the company that did the work then tell them to work out all the details to correct the modification and fix windshield UNDER WARRANTY and NOT a claim.
