Winegard Denali outside and Spruce inside

I am totally, totally confused...
I can "see" each component via wireless connection. When I do the "changemenowXXXX" routine, it says "invalid password".
I don't know enough about this system. Just purchased the coach. Maybe I need to do the factory reset?
I can go to the Winegard web site "mywifiranger" it says that I am now on line....
How is that possible?
I am sitting 10 miles away from my coach (it's in storage and completely shut down and I am home).
How does this system work?
I truly haven't seen nor reaped any benefit (I don't think...)
Thier web page(s) are not helpful.
Can someone explain the concept and maybe guide me forward?
