Winnebago Journey Body Panel dislodged
On a recent trip, the panel over the driver side wheel well began flapping and nearly flew off into rear traffic on an interstate. With no near exit had to pull on side of highway. Panel is fiberglass/plastic and held on by Velcro? Any idea on how to secure permanent or how to work out bend where it flapped?

This is where a picture would really be helpful.

Ours did the same on the passenger side wheelwell. Ours was held on with a double-sided tape. Small self tapping screws with washers replaced the tape while sitting along side the road. Eventually I will replace the screws with glue, such as JB Weld that sticks to fiberglass and metal/. Also lost one of our slide corner trim triangles...same tape.

For those having trouble "seeing" w/o a picture, Winnibago used flat fiberglass sheets painted the coach colors over the unpainted sheet metal "box" that enclosed the rear wheels (probably did the same on the front).the sheets are held on with double sided tape.

Front panels over front wheel wells
I was unable to get photos to upload. We purchased our 2008 Journey pre-owned. Looked at passenger side panel, apparently same thing happened as it's secured with screws. We have the driver side panel taped down until we get home. Are there more panels attached in this manner? We are really enjoying our 39Z but it was a scary incident due to a ridiculous factory practice.

Winnebago uses double sided tape and epoxy to attach most of the exterior panels. We owned a 2002 Journey and had to reattach the lower rear clip, the generator access door and the lower front clip. They were glued on but the glue released from the metal brackets due to poor prep of the brackets. I drilled and installed small button head stainless bolts with nyloc nuts. Looked fine and everything stayed put.

Winnebago uses Velcro and double-sided tape to hold their body panels on? You have GOT to be kidding me!
I’m sure glad I don’t own a piece of junk like that.

Would you prefer zippers?

Zippers would hold better than Velcro or tape!

When asking around, I'm told it's a common practice by many coach manufacturers.

I've never heard of this.My experience with double sided tape is it will let go at the worst time.Do these panels have to be removed for access or maintenance?
