Wipers quit

DW is driving while I try to figure this out. While driving through a rain squall. went to turn wipers on.....nothing. they had been working fine earlier.
Also recently had a problem with air horn. Wondering if the two issues could be related to the smart wheel?
Thanks for all your. Some days are really frustrating, but the good days more than make up for it.

Try using a jumper wire to directly hook the wiper motor to 12v. If the wipers move, you know it's in the Smart Wheel or other connections. Same with the horn, jumper the air solenoid. If it works, you know it's not the solenoid but the SW.

I would say it is most likely the smart wheel. I had a similar problem, the wipers wouldn't work when I wanted them to and sometimes they would just come on by them self. it could be the clock spring in the steering wheel or the controller under your dash. If you take the plastic covers off the steering column there are a few plugs there that can come loose.
