Workhorse/Four Winds Valve Stem Replacement
I originally posted this in the Thor Forum, so apologies for the repeat, but this may be the better forum ... so, here goes: We have an 06’ Mandalay Presidio 39C. One of the wheels has a bent valve stem. We do not seem to be able to find a replacement for this piece. We’ve checked with all the big truck tire dealers around this area and auto stores, checked the internet and are striking out. Any advice/help?

Sorry, can't help with your question. I know I don't get out much but I've never seen a long valve core like that and am wondering why it would be made that way? I'm kinda curious so will do a little researching as well and will post here if I happen to come up with anything. Gonna keep a watch on your thread.

Ok, found this on Amazon,,
https://www.amazon.com/Dually-Valve-.../dp/B07D1H5182
Didn't look real close but I think it may be what you need. Still not sure why the core is so long..
One more edit,, Just came to me. It's long so that it can push against the original core already mounted on the inside tire.

Looks like it came out of a valve stem extender, maybe buy a new extender would be easier. Somebody that mounts large truck tires should have them.

That is the valve core of valve stem extender. The rod sets against the valve core of the actual valve steam and pushes that core open when adding, testing, or releasing pressure.
New extension will likely cost about the same as the core and easy to obtain.

What Densher says. Stop looking for the core and just buy a new extended of suitable length. NAPA stores have them, or any commercial tire shop. They aren't expensive.

Wow, you guys are great. Even the guys at Napa did not know this. I am so glad I asked you all. The hubby will be even happier, you know the one who won’t ask for directions, lol. Thanks again. I’ll post back with our progress and update.

Hey Everyone,
We found a valve stem core to replace the bent one ... long story short, the new one started leaking air quickly. Put the old one back in. For now the only reason we are needing to replace is to install the TPMS. In the meantime, went on the maiden voyage and found more problems ... too many to list. Taking it in to the repair shop, then off to a big rig tire/wheel dealer. Hope we make it to Florida in February ... 2019
