Craig, is your electrical compartment vented? Does having the autoformer inside create a heat problem? That issue has slowed me down in purchasing an autoformer. I'm real hesitant about spending that much on something to sit outside in the weather and possibly grow legs and walk off.

No, it's not. I too initially had concerns, but then I figured if my Xantrex system can work as well as it does in the same unvented compartment, the AutoFormer should be fine. I live in a warm part of the country and I have never had any issues. I never completely latch the compartment door, leaving it slightly ajar, which provides a small amount of venting.
