1/4 inch difference between ReadyBrute clevis and Roadmaster attach points.

So I have installed the Roadmaster EZ5 on my Edge and just got the ReadyBrute aluminum clevis ends in the mail.
The clevis ends are 2 inches wide and the Roadmaster attach ends are 2 1/4 inch wide. So I will have 1/4 inch left/right play while towing.
Is that OK? It uses a 3/4 inch pin. They don't make a wider clevis.

No expert here, but I don't see any problem. 99% of the load is in the forward direction and very little in the side to side direction. If it bothers you take the pin to a local hardware store and get some large washers and use some JB Weld and glue them to the aluminum adapters.

That was my thinking. The 1/4" might make it easier to hook or unhook.

That’s about the amount of play in my EZ5 pins and my RM Falcon All Terrain tow bar. It has not caused any issues in 10k miles of towing.
