1992 Jeep Cherokee Automatic 2WD Flat Tow Possible?

We have a 1992 Jeep Cherokee Automatic 2WD that we would like to bring out of mothballs and resurrect for flat towing behind our new Class C RV. Anyone have any information or experience with this model?

Don't believe there is an easy way to tow an automatic 2wd Jeep. You'll have to either remove the driveshaft, install a driveshaft disconnect, or transmission lubrication pump. Or, you can put the Jeep on a trailer, if the motorhome is up to it.

Thanks! I'm thinking now about a Fiat 500 or Toyota Corolla (standard transmission).

My 2000 Cherokee XJ, could only be towed if it were a 4WD version. I haven't towed it in a few years (too old and worn out!). Another car option you may want to look at is the Chevy Sonic. Both the manual and automatic transmissions can be towed 4-down. They've been around since 2012 and get great rating reviews (unlike the Fiat 500). I just bought and setup a used 2016 hatchback LTZ model. They also come in a 4 door sedan version. They weigh about 2,800 lbs.
