2002 Explorer Neutral Tow (AGAIN)

I realize this has been beat to death but as usual I do not find my answer.

I am getting my 2002 Explorer, with 4x4 auto, ready to flat tow. I have made up the "kit" with an LED and found the plug that's under the dash.

LED lights are "directional" and without the factory female end of the plug I don't know which way to hook up the LED wires to the vehicle wires.

I'd like this to be correct the first time when I go to a dealer to have the computer re flashed.

HELP???

Just fiddled with it some more. I hooked up the LED and it comes on dim when the key is inserted then goes out a few seconds after the key is removed. If I switch the wires around it doesn't come on at all. Anybody know what that means?

I get that the computer isn't programmed so the system isn't working correctly, just want to find out which way the wires go.

Check with a multi meter it should tell you which is positive if that's what you are looking for

When it is correctly installed and the computer is reprogrammed. The light will only come on when you are in neutral and holding down the brake pedal. One flash, followed by a continuous light
