2005 Toyota Sienna

Hi,

Does anyone know if you can flat-tow a 2005 Toyota Sienna...or do you need to get a trailer?

Thanks
Barbara

No you cannot flat tow a 2005 Toyota Sienna without extensive transmission modifications. You can use a dolly to tow the Sienna if it has a wide carriage.

We tried to tow our 2004 Toyota Sienna on a wide body tow dolly and it did not work out too well.

You only have about 3 inches of clearance on both sides between the body and the fenders of the dolly. Made a couple of tight turns in gas stations and the fender dented the van body, scratched the paint, etc. $1700 in body work to repair.

We have a 2008 Town & Country minivan that we flat tow with a Remco transmission pump. Worked well except in hot weather.

My Jeep Grand Cherokee is a dream to flat tow. Put transfer case in neutral and away you go.
