2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee AWD Towed

For those of you with this vehicle, you may experience this problem. Recently tried to shift from 4 wheel neutral to AWD with no success. Jeep dealer said electronic shift motor bad, 355 parts on backorder, no date from manufacturer to ship parts. One week later they called and said factory said to clear codes three times and problem solved.

AWDs are not supposed to be towed I thought less they made a change. (ok that was a 2013,, Very nice ride by the way, or was it a 2014).

NOTE: many jeep owners have had a recall done that disabled the NEUTRAL on the transfer case.. IF I owned a jeep and that happened I would want them to fix it. But alas, so far, I do not think they are doing so.

I think the OP is using the term SWD when he really meant 4WD.
