2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit Blue Ox Base plate

Hi- i have checked prior posts that folks have installed the Blue Ox on the 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland, but when i look up the Blue Ox part number for ordering a Summit ( 2011 Jeep GC listed as BX1128) says " no Summit". The Summit and overland front ends look exactly alike ( assuming cruise control adaptive sensor is on the front) so i am trying to find out if this is a deal killer for me as i have not purchased the car yet.

Thanks,

Jim

Roadmaster doesn't seem to have any issues with a Summit, only the SRT. Maybe you could switch brands.

thanks for your input...i found another post ( and pics)where the Blue ox 1128 does work on the Summit. No idea why the base plate seller(s) had the disclaimer, but i am going forward with the car.

Is it because [perhaps] the geometry of the BX1128 will interfere with the sensor for the adaptive cruise control? ...when the GC is not being pulled as a toad? \ken
