I could use some advice from some owners or some similar Class B+ owners.
I have a 2014 Thor Citation Sprinter 24ST 25’9” .
Thor has the 2015 on their site same as this link

or the thor link
2015 Citation Sprinter Motorhomes: Class C RV by Thor Motor Coach
The GCWR is 15250 pounds and the GVWR is 11030 pounds. I weighed the RV and it was 10740 pounds so with my weight which I don’t know if it included it would be 10970. So 15250 minus 10970 is 4280. I have a 2010 Honda Crosstuur which I would love to have as a toad its curb weight is 3852. so 4280-3852 = 428.
I am going to buy a Kar Kaddy SS this week its weight its weight is 615 which is a – 187 pounds. We are planning a trip next month to Maine to see the leaves change, Mussels , Lobster and BEER!! The above weight does not include food in Fridge and two small dogs and cat maybe a few hundred pounds more who knows with provisions.
My question is finally how critical is the maximum weight the GCWR? Can it be over by 500-1000 pounds? I had a 250 Cargo Van back in the 80s with a well cargo trailer I know was over the max weight time to time.
I would love to here from other Class B+ owners that may be a tad over and their experiences.
Thanks for your input and expertise which im sure is more than mine
I guess also I lucked out on the Kar Kaddy SS with its breaking system I don’t need a break controller. I did read you need rear breaks for the toad if you go into Canada which were not doing this time.
Thanks Doug
