TH has factory tow hook holes that baseplate replaces, custom wiring harness I mentioned earlier and plug cord not mounted but fits between bumper & hood equal lease not voided by most lease agreements.

Double check that lease wording allows changes that can be restored and not permanent.

eTrailer.com and search under trailer wiring kits. T-One and Curt mfg have one each. $10 different and all your using them for are the male/female plugs. Cut and throw out circuit modules. This is what you splice into so factory wiring stays in tact. You also have to add extra wiring between each end so that you can splice and feed throw rubber gasket as factory connection with need to go inside wall as there is not enough room for all connectors to fit under tail light assembly.

Also, diode 4 pack does not include wiring but does come with blade connectors. $39.95.

$125 spent in all so if you can find pre-made kit, in same range, go for it. Took me about 4-5 hrs to customize harness. But I enjoy that kind of DIY. and didn't have time to research if any other Jeep models use same plugs.

hi. i spoke with demco the other day and the harness (plugin) should be online for purchase now, for the grand cherokee ...... the harness for the cherokee lattitude is under development now, it should be out for purchase by the end of may (plugin, no diodes)

You might want to start a new thread on this, since this thread is about the Jeep Cherokee (not Grand Cherokee). That said, the Blue Ox baseplate is designed to work with ACC, according to their website. It should all be installed behind the eye, so I don't see where there would be a problem. I'll know for sure when mine gets installed on monday.

My question was not if the tow baseplate would work. I needed to be more descriptive

I am asking when folks are toad towing a Jeep Cherokee or Grand Cherokee, and they have the Adaptive cruise control eye option, if they have suffered any rock or road debris damage to the ACC eye ??? Maybe they place a protector over it while toad towing ??? It looks like a risk of rock damage to expensive option item to me, since it is located in a very vulnerable position when towing ??? For that matter it is in a vulnerable position just driving down the road !!

I do not have mine yet.

Looks like it wouldn't be hard to plug that opening with a protective cover. Attach the cover to a lanyard tied to a safety cable or the tow bar so you remember to pull it off when you unhitch.

Towed my 2014 Cherokee 4193 miles so far - no damage to any of the sensors including the radar ones

Our 2014 Jeep Trail Hawk did not come with the "manual" either, but the "users guide" in the glove compartment has all the steps for flat towing. Keep in mind that when the procedure calls for parking brake release, you must have your foot on the brakes.
...Jeep is mailing us the manual which may tell us how to shut off the radio...and who'd believe that the "technology package" wouldn't include something as basic as one touch up/dn electric windows.

Surely you have one-touch down?? Our Limited is one touch down for driver and one touch down for co-pilot for their own windows. No one-touch up - that is a safety question and the issue is a lot of kids being hurt because the reverse mechanism apparently isn't "that" good to prevent injury.

I'd have liked adjustable pedals as I have on my T&C though.
