2015 Cherokee Limited "Service Start/Stop System" after Air Force One Break install

We just picked up our 2015 Jeep Cherokee Limited with Active Drive II after having an Air Force One Brake System and Roadmaster Universal wiring kit installed. I am getting a "Service Start/Stop System" error after driving a short distance and coming to a stop where the Start/Stop should engage. If I turn off the Jeep and restart the problem goes away for a while and then returns. Anyone else have this problem? Also, I have heard about the brake switch on the Cherokee is hot on both sides so some have had problems with connections to the brake switch. Anyone with an Air Force One know how the brake switch connection was made?

Bob

2015 Cherokee

I installed the AF1 in a 2015 Cherokee Limited but used the Demco wiring harness so I didn't have to cut any wires. I have not put the brake indicator light in because I really didn't want to disturb the brake switch. May try it after I do more research. Everything works as planned so far.

I found out today that the problem I am having is a vacuum problem. The Jeep onboard computer is complaining about not enough vacuum. I called SMI and they said that some installations required two check valves. Ours has one check valve that was installed in the line from the Tee to the SMI controller. The instructions say that the check valve should be installed in the OEM line between the Tee and the engine. I am going to call SMI in the morning and find out how the check valve is supposed to be installed. Thanks for your reply.
