2016 Lincoln MKX with adaptive cruise control

I know there have been some other posts on this

I am looking for a base plate for our 2016 Lincoln MKX with adaptive cruise control and this vehicle also has the grill shutters.

I know so far that Blue OX, and Demco do not make a base plate for this vehicle. Roadmaster does make one, but since I have a Blue OX tow bar and then have to either buy a new tow bar or buy the ugly adapter, while that maybe the only option, it is not my first choice. I am looking for another solution.

One post referred to modifying the Blue OX base plate that is avaiable for the MKX that does not have adaptive cruise control, but no installer I know of will touch that, can't say I blame them.

Has anyone found a solution that has a 2016 Lincoln MKX with adaptive cruise control? and whose base plate did you use?

And how did you wire on the lights?

Thanks

If you can afford to make decisions based on "looks"... buy the new tow bar.

If, on the other hand, you prefer to make decisions based on "the biggest bang for your buck"... buy the ugly adapter.

If it is 2wd, you could tow dolly it. We tow dolly our Edge, the same vehicle under a different badge.

I think you are looking at the wrong kit have a look at what you will need for your tow bar ends
Blue Ox BX88185 Blue Ox Tow Bar Adapter to Roadmaster Bracket No Crossbar | eBay
If you go with the Roadmaster brackets 524447-4 with the EZ4 arms you would have to buy the Roadmaster Quick disconnect kit
https://www.etrailer.com/Accessories...er/RM-201.html
Or you could buy the Roadmaster EZ 5 arms and the 2 ea 3/4 pins to attach your tow bar.

This is not a ugly set up as I use a BLue Ox tow bar with Roadmaster base plates on both of our toads.
