Thought about towing mine. I contacted toyaota, checked their website, and my owners manual for 2013 Tacoma. All state that the only way it should be towed is on a trailer with all four off the ground. Otherwise it voids any warranties.

It doesn't void the warranty unless the disconnect can be shown to have caused the failure.

We towed a 2005 4x4 for 5 years with a Remco disconnect. Never a problem. The tranny is totally disconnected from the driveline. Unless you made a stupid mistake it cannot harm the tranny.
