2019 Equinox Baseplate???
Is anyone towing a 2019 Equinox 2.0T, two wheel drive? If so, what baseplate are you using and did the baseplate install with adequate clearance around the front of the intercooler tanks?
Thanks in advance.

Thank you for the reply. I do use the etrailer videos and find them very useful.
The problem I have now is the baseplate I purchased from etrailer, not one covered in their installation videos, will not fit the car, even though it is listed as a confirmed fit. They have passed me back to the manufacturer. The manufacturer tells me I need move the intercooler back to provide clearance for the baseplate. Turns out that is not a viable solution.
I am just trying to find out if I'm the only one who has encountered this problem. I think even after lots of research, I chose the wrong part.

First thing I'd do is send it back to eTrailer to get my money back. Tell them it doesn't fit, even though they guaranteed it would, and you want them to pay for return shipping. They should do that.
Then I'd research those with a video to see if the other versions really fit. I bought my baseplate from eTrailer and watched several videos for my vehicle and some of the instructions were different between brands.

Follow-up with etrailer this morning. They are paying for return shipping. Outstanding customer support from them. Will try baseplate from a different manufacturer.

Why don't you tell us which baseplate did not fit and which baseplate did fit so other people do not make the same mistake??

It was a Demco that would not fit in place. I chose it because I like their design which incorporates vertical supports that attach to the bumper bolts. But it would not fit due to interference with the intercooler.
The unknown in my mind is "Does the 2.0 Equinox have a larger intercooler than the 1.5?" That could affect fit and all of the installation videos I've seen appear to be 1.5 models.
Etrailer is sending me a Roadmaster EZ5 to try. I'll post results.

My friend just bought a new Equinox diesel for a toad. He is going with Blue Ox baseplate, which is the same as I have on Jeep JKS. Cant go wrong with Blue Ox.

Final update -- I hope. Got a Roadmaster EZ5 baseplate from etrailer.
Once again had fitment interference at the intercooler, although not as bad as with the Demco. Contacted Roadmaster for tech assist. Very responsive and helpful. Ended up using a carbide burr on a die grinder to elongate the mounting holes on the main crossbar. That allowed the bar to move forward about 3/16" which was enough to solve the interference issue.
Thanks to all who replied to my original post.
