2019 F250 toad tow bar questions?
I intend to flat tow my 2019 F250 SD 4x4 (yes it can flat tow mode). Because of its own weight ~8.5k, I want to use the 15k Blue Ox tow bar and purchased the Blue Ox base plate. This base plate mounts and takes the place of the two tow hooks, and also replaces the OEM bumper mount with a very stout new mounting brackets. However, my truck presently has a Ranch Hand bullnose bumper on front because hitting deer is common here in TX hill country.
1. It appears the Blue Ox base plate mount will replace the Ranch Hand base mounting plate. They are both super stout, but doubt the BO was designed for both added weight of RH bumper in addition to two stresses from the tow bar.
2. Assuming the BO base plate mounts properly, am curious if it will offer the proper operating clearance for the tow bar itself. Will the tow bar get in a bind in some way?
3. Since the RH extends out farther than OEM bumper, curious if will hamper my turn radius on new coming Explorer or possible hit the coach in a tight forward turn?
Anyone with experience using Blue Ox or other tow bar on F250 with a Ranch Hand front bumper?
Dan
