2019 Ford Edge no longer towable 4 down
Just looking at the 2019 Ford Edge, it seems 2018 is the last year for any model towing 4 down.
According to page 253 of the 2019 Edge owners manual it cannot be towed four down either two wheel or AWD.

I saw that. Also noticed that the Chevy Traverse is back on for 2019.

Ford went to a 8 speed for 2019, and sadly it's not towable, look for gm to do the same next year, just find a edge or explorer with the 6f50/60 trans even in the Taurus, waiting to see what Ford does with hybrids,as of now all are flat towable.

According to their manual, the 2.7 L can be towed four down.

GM’s 9 speed used the the Traverse is back on the towable list for 2019. Same trans will be in the 2020 Arcadia on sale this fall.

That's strange, both purport to be a 2019 manual - I know the one I referenced is different than my 2018 manual
. Your reference specifically states the 2.7 is towable 4 down. The one I reference seems to be based on the paper manual and your ref is the electronic one.
I'd probably go with yours as it is from Ford directly. I would really be interested if the paper manual in a 2019 differs?
Salesman last year also told me that they would no longer be towable 4 down in 2019, but then he's a salesman (he also said the 2018 SEL V6 wasn't until I showed him in the manual that was in the vehicle)!

I just looked up several other towing guide references and none of them had the Edge.
Call the manufacturing plant and ask them and even then don't believe what they say. Also, the printed or electronic version of the manual could be a cut and paste from previous models. Some data input expert just taking a short cut.
I have a Lincoln MKX and the 2019 Lincoln Nautilus is supposed to be a basic replacement. The manual says yes on the 2.7, like the Edge, but I cannot find it in any of the Dingy Towing manuals.

Yep, latest 2019 towing guide doesn't list it either.
But it was just curiosity - DW won't let me trade the 2018 (yet)!

Another dumb move by ford to loose market share to save a penny, why Korean manufacturers are growing.

Sort of rules out towing behind a MH.

Pages 250-251, starting with the second column on page 250 - towing the 2.7l engine. The maximum towing speed is 65 mph.

Pages 250-251, starting with the second column on page 250 - towing the 2.7l engine. The maximum towing speed is 65 mph. for recreational towing and 35 for emergency towing. They omitted the usual instructions to run the engine for 5 minutes before towing.
The only thing I think we can agree on is that Ford is incapable of producing a consistent and accurate owner’s manual.
I’ve also found problems with the manuals for my Fusion and F-53 motorhome, but these Edge manuals are worse.

Is the 2.7L only available in the Edge ST, which may use a different transmission?
