2019 Honda Accord Sport flat-tow issue
Hoping someone can answer a question for me. I bought a 2019 Honda Accord Sport (manual transmission) to flat-tow behind my coach. Flat-towing is allowed for manual transmissions, per the user manual (see attached).
I flat-towed the Accord for the first time today and I followed the directions in the manual, which says, among other things, to put the car in Accessory mode. About an hour into driving, the RVibrake3 Command Center tablet showed that the supplemental brake lost connectivity, so I pulled over at a rest stop and found that the ignition on the Accord was completely shut off. So I started the car to make sure the battery was OK and then put it back into Accessory mode. I went on my merry way and reached my destination in under an hour with no further issues.
Iím trying to figure out if the Accessory mode timed-out after a period of time and shut the ignition off. If so, itís not disclosed that this will occur in the manual...which is not cool. I do have the RVibrake3 plugged into the cigarette charger in the Accord but I also have the RVi Towed Battery charger installed, which supplies a trickle charge to the carís battery.
