2020 Grand Cherokee battery

So the manual says you need to unhook the battery in the new Grand Cherokee, but I’ve read where owners say they tow a 2020 and don’t unhook the Bat. If unhooking bat is a must,do I have to run a hot lighter plug from the coach to under the dash somewhere so I can plug the brake unit in and have it be live? Running a RVi3 . Just lookin for 2020 grand Cherokee info please. Thanks in advance, HS

Harry, I'm looking at your Owner's Manual on-line (downloadable pdf) and no where do I see a recommendation to disconnect the Jeep's battery. Can you cite the location you are reading this from?

Hi CoolTech, he may have been referring to the chart on page 269.

I just took a screen shot of the 2020 Grand Cherokee manual that I found online -HERE (not sure which edition it might be as there could have been a revision). However, I can't address the requirement or non-requirement of disconnecting the battery as I don't have experience with the vehicle myself.

Thanks , this page seems to be where I seen the part about battery being disconnected. Hopefully someone who does tow a 2020 will chime in. I’m just trying to get this all figured out before spring

If you retrieve the 2020 Owner's Manual from Jeep's official site, that table is on page 271 and the reference to disconnecting the battery has been removed.

The official site for downloading the latest manuals is this one: https://www.mopar.com/en-us/my-vehic...rs-manual.html

There is NO REASON to disconnect your battery.

Yes apparently the reference to unhooking the negative battery post has been removed
