Has anyone installed NSA's supplemental and breakaway brake cables on a Wrangler JL?

My LJ had ample room in the engine bay, but this new one looks jam-packed!! LOL I'd love some tips on how to route the cables (and wiring). I'm using a Blue Ox base plate.

I have the Rubicon steel bumper on my Gladiator, so you'll have to figure that part out from someone else, but with the brake cable itself I went above the drivers side frame. I drilled the access directly behind the brake pedal.

The hardest part is the contortions you have to put your body through to clamp the wire around your brake pedal stem (twice for me because I also ran the emergency breakaway cable).

Adjusting the line was easy. Leave the amount of slack they recommended in the manual. I did a test drive with my spouse in the toad, this is also recommended by the manual. We live on an extremely empty county road and I dida series of slowdowns and full stops while talking to her on GMRS radios. After a mile, I decided all was well.

So out the firewall, to the left on top of the frame rail, then where to the center?

I'm thinking of using a hole saw to simply cut a circle dead center in the plastic where the front license plate mounts and have the supplemental brake "loop" there attached to the metal innards. Still not sure about where to put the breakaway brake "box". The Blue Ox has a spot, but it's for their Patriot brake thingy. LOL

Could I trouble you for some pics of where you went inside the engine bay?


And I know what you mean about attaching those to the brake pedal. It was a bear on the LJ as well, and like you I had to do it twice!
