Run a charge wire from your motorhome to the toad

I added a 12v power port under the dash directly from the battery. Then added the charge wire from the coach.

Would OP even need to disconnect battery with charge wire added from coach?
On our 16 wrangler 12vdc supplied from coach goes to the OEM tow wire harness so
Voltage is supplied from coach and battery stays charged

Just curious on his..your setup

Yes, OP would. Its what the manual states for one and also new vehicles have numerous components that need to have zero power supplied. Like automatic e brakes which can sense the movement and apply the e brake.

Wouldn’t the power be disconnected to your brake If the car breaks away
And have no brakes
