I am about to install the 58975 wiring kit on my 2020 Ram 1500. The braking system I use applies pressure to the brake pedal which in turn lights up the brake lights (using the 12v from the Ram). With the Ram plugged into the coach and the coach brake pedal pressed, the brake lights on the Ram will get 12v from the coach and 12v from itself. My question is will this damage the electrical system or is it designed to compensate for this ? Hope this makes sense, Thanks in advance.

It is designed for that with built in diodes. Will not damage the electrical system.

Once the 2021 Ram goes to sleep after about 5 minutes of engine off and no door activity the brake pedal does not turn the brake lights on. I left the window open and used a stick to push the brake pedal.

I plugged the motorhome into the Ram, waited about 5 minutes and stuck a stick in through the window and pushed on the brake pedal on the Ram. The motorhome turn signal on the Ram tail lights kept blinking and the brake lights did not illuminate. The Ram had no effect on the motorhome signals; everything works as it should.

To sum up the Curt Plug & Play Wiring Harness, it is a very quick and easy installation and nothing else is needed; NO Relay, NO Diodes etc.
