2022 Escape Hybrid - flat towing issues

Bought a 2022 Escape Hybrid AWD because of flat-towing capability. Using Patriot 3 brake system. Installed a separate cigarette lighter coming directly off the coach, to support the Patriot. Didnt touch the Escape electrical system. Every time we get to our destination, car wont start, needs jump starting or (worse) towing to dealership for complete re-programming.
Escape has Neutral Tow setting designed for flat tow, but i am suspicious that something, somewhere is draining HV battery when in tow mode.

Search my user name, tripntx. I replaced the small stock battery with a larger battery, and my pictures as well as battery size are in a thread. We tow our 2020 Escape Hybrid 7 hours straight regularly, and never have an issue with battery.

I have two pigtails off the battery, one for RVi3 brake, and one for Tow Mate wireless tow lights.
