2024 Dodge Durango R/T AWD + Quadra–Trac® Active On–Demand 4WD

Hello,

I'm just hoping someone here can tell me if adding the Quadra–Trac® Active On–Demand 4WD (included in the Tow N Go package) negates the flat-towing capability. The owner's manual says you can flat tow if it has the 2-speed transfer case.

Any idea? Really want a 3-row car for my dogs. There aren't a lot of choices out there.

Thanks for any insight you can give me!

Well the owners manual would be the best place for the info ; and it sounds like reading the manual doesn't give you the info you're after.

The two speed transfer case would have a Neutral position , to shift to for flat towing.
Does the shift mechanism in the vehicle have a neutral setting ?
Does the transfer case have low range ?

Before I retired ( 2007 ) Jeeps with Quadra-Trac couldn't be flat towed , but that was a long time ago.

At this point the Jeeps with Quadra-Trac II CAN be towed, Quada-Trac I not. I think only the Overland has the QT-II.

As for the Durango, attached is the page from the manual. It doesn't say anything about if the Quadra-Trac is added. I called Roadmaster and am waiting to hear back from the R&D person. I don't know who else to ask.

Back to my questions about " low range and a neutral position on the shift mechanism " .

The bottom right corner of the page you posted says if the transfer case is a single speed ( no low range or neutral ) flat towing not allowed.

Oh, yes, I know that you have to have the 2-speed transfer case.

I think I found out my answer by looking at pictures. The one with the neutral button on the console is without the Quadra-Trac and the other one with it. That little section is now empty. So my guess is the Quadra-Trac somehow replaces the 2-speed transfer case?

Whatever, I know now to only look at cars without that package.

Thanks for your help.

There appears to be two buttons ; I suspect the large portion is low range ( in/out ) ant the small potion neutral .
