2025 Ford Ranger Flat Towable
Just wondering if the new ranger can be flat towed. Called Ford they don't know told me to check back later in October.

I looked at the Manual for the Ranger Raptor and it said it wasn't towable in 2025.
With that said, I read somewhere that Ford, who was having issues with the Bronco transmissions, had made the Ranger not towable, at least in the Manual, but that might change shortly.

I'm not connected to Ford nor do I have any inside info, but I've been following various forums about the ranger and I'm particularly interested in flat towing as well. So, with that said, as I understand it the 2024 model year rangers were declared unfit for flat towing very late in the development stage, and it was said that even though it was too late to "fix" the 2024's, the 2025's would be flat-towable.
Info is just starting to spill out regarding the 2025 rangers since the order books just opened a few days ago. There seems to be info that's available to dealers but not yet to the general public that indicates that the 2025 ranger 4x4 models will be flat-towable. But with that said, there's also a bullet point on that same page that talks about flat towing if a ranger is disabled, and sets limits of 35mph and 50 miles. I'm not sure what that's about (could be 4x2 models and/or raptors since the latter have 4A mode but I don't know).

We bought a Jeep Gladiator it will meet our needs and Jeep is very transparent with its capabilities. Ford lost the deal before I ever entered the dealership.

I e heard they removed the flat tow feature due to all the problems they were having with the system coming out of flat tow.

As of yesterday, the ford site does not show a 2025 Ranger owner's manual available. Until Ford publishes that owner's manual I would not take a chance.

So according to Ford, the 2025 Ford Ranger 2WD can be flat towed, sort of. I have attached the bulletin link from Ford for your amusement!

The technical specifications are clear - no 4x2 trins can be flat towed.
2025 4x4 Ranger 6G, too bad the 2024 cannot be retrofitted to allow Flat Tow.
-Should say "4WD with an Automatic" in the pdf.

I wish the baseplate manufacturers would hurry up and make a compatible baseplate so I can order my replacement toad.

Flat tow 2025 ranger
spoke with my local dealer today and they confirmed that yes the 2025 ford ranger 4x4 can be flat towed but not the 2024….george
