ABS,, on? or off? on the toad.

Haven't seen discussion on the topic so I wanted to bring it up. Building my first toad now that will be an E450 passenger model converted into a work truck @ 7000 pounds. ASB is disabled and brakes can go to full lock. RV still has ABS enabled but have second thoughts about Keeping that too. Don't put much weight in ABS, I like to drive.
Toad brakes are SMI real time brakes, Rig is stock.

Curious why you would want to disable the ABS on the motorhome.

I've had three panic stops where my ABS kicked in on my motorhome and kept me straight as I stopped.

ABS is a good thing. I can't think of any situation where I'd prefer to have the ABS disabled.

All four wheels locked up and skidding will stop in slightly less distance than an ABS lockup. However, With locked wheels the vehicle is now a projectile with no directional control.

Once the vehicle starts departing from its normal rolling travel (getting sideways), the odds of recovering diminish.

I'd argue that the ability to maintain directional control outweighs the shorter uncontrollable stop.
