Don't know anything about the RVI3 but have used the AF1 since 2006 on 2 motorhomes and 4 toads and, once installed, it could not be more easy to hook up and use. It is truly proportional braking and is very reliable.
I started out with one of those dopey boxes you put between the front seat and the brake pedal and would not want to go back to that type of system.
That said, I did check the RVI website and it certainly seems the newer 'brake in the box' systems are much improved. If the system does everything they claim, it would eliminate the time and expense to install the AF1.
