Thanks
I stand corrected on that hitch weight.

Thanks to everyone for sharing their thoughts and views, it is much appreciated.
While the proposed toad is within the towing limits (on paper) I feel like I need to go with my gut and will go with a smaller toad. There is a 2014 6 speed manual transmission Subaru Outback for sale in my area that I think could be a good fit.
This does mean purchasing a toad specific vehicle, but with two of my kids turning 16 this year, perhaps it would be a great first car for them to use when we’re not traveling.
Again, thanks to all that responded.

Check the owners manual of any vehicle to be sure it's flat towable. I do not believe Subarus are flat towable but I could be wrong.

Blue Ox sells baseplates for 2016 Subaru Outbacks so it seems it is likely 4 down flat towable.
I think the OP has done their homework but is advised to consult the owners manual under recreational vehicle dinghy towing
Usually, Blue Ox has all the equipment including any fuse bypass switches if pulling a fuse is indicated by the owners manual.

That sounds like a good solution.

My coach is a Class C 2019 Coachman Leprechaun 311fs (E450 V10 6.8L). I haven’t seen too many Class C’s towing during our summer trip last year, so wanted to see what the combined knowledge and experience of this forum could provide. [emoji144]

I can't speak for the class C tow, but I tow out 18 Expedition limited with a Roadmasr setup with AF1 braking on our class A diesel. I actually can hardly tell it's there. I would expect you would of course know it's there getting to speed, but under way i think the w penitence would be similar.
