Any recommendations on a 600 lb motorcycle carrier

I posted previously about a 1000 lb motorcycle carrier and took the consensus advice to avoid it. I also mentioned that it would be better for me to get a lighter bike. Well I did. Here's the thread I'm referencing:

http://www.irv2.com/forums/f85/1000-...er-302475.html

So, I did trade bikes and am a new owner of a Triumph America which is under the 600 lb limit (I'll miss my Nomad but doing what it takes to be able to bring a bike along). Well, I've been searching and just want a 600 lb tow hitch carrier that will work well on the back of my DP. Any recommendations or for that matter, any carriers to avoid?

I just found one of these on Craigslist and bought it for my brother-in-law for $700.

I was very impressed with how sturdy the rig was and how it flipped up to get out of the way when your bike was off. Hydraulic jack drops the base right to the ground for easy loading and unloading.

I just bought something similar for a 350 pound 200cc scooter.

Measure very carefully the distance of the track from the rear of your rig. In my case I thought I would be able to use it without removing the spare tire mount. No such luck so I bought a hitch extender.

Then I started researching hitch extenders and that whole science thing came into play. For every 8" or so you half the tongue weight rating on your hitch.

I ended up ditching the extender and removing the spare tire.

But there is no way I could push the scooter up the ramp so I have to drive it up while walking along side of it. It's a two person job.

I can not imagine driving a bike up one using the clutch.

I think before our big trip I may end up with one of these just for peace of mind and ease of loading. I should be able to sit on it and drive it up with this.
