Anyone flat tow a Toyota Tacoma 4x4
Can you flat tow a Tacoma 4x4 v6 auto trans or manual ?

I think Toyota Tacoma and Fore Runner would probably be the most popular toads out there if they were easily towable.

I read somewhere that no Toyota's are towable 4wheels down. Would love to tow either our 4Runner or our Sienna, but neither is doable.

Have a 94 Yota PU (pre-Tacoma) 4x4 5sp 4cyl front locking hubs, lifted 2" w/32" tires. Learned on Yota site; very easy to slide under raised rig on cheap HFreight plastic lo-profile dolly, disconnect 4 drive shaft bolts at diff, hang shaft on SS chain from eye bolt in bed frame with rear universal higher than front to keep universal spline from sliding out &/or wire it to shaft, unlock front hubs, unlock steering lock (1st spot before ACC), N-trans, N-Tcase, No probs 3,000 mi. Use spare deep-cycle batt to power Bbuddy dig. classic. At destination can unhook fm MH, Tcase in 4WD, lock front hubs, and drive as FWD around campground slowly with rear shaft turning in chain sling till I find nice dry spot to reconnect rear shaft. Sounds complicated but only takes 10-15min. May work for your Yota. R

No it won't because the Tacoma's do not have manual locking front hubs, and the transfer case is a totally different design than yours.
