Unfortunately I don't have time to order and get a Protect A Tow in time for my next trip. So I am going with my second choice. An Ultraguard Mudflap. Has anyone installed one of these on their coach? I will take any helpful hints or recommendations.

Thanks

Even though our MH came with the UltraGuard MudFlap, we had to re-mount several months ago as the original cheepo bolts/nuts broke/came loose. If a good samaritan hadn't told us it was hanging loose, it would have eventually broke free and most likely done serious damage to our toad.
1: Be sure and get the angle iron mounting bracket for bolting to the frame behinf the rear wheels. Our bracket had (2) holes and I drilled (2) additional holes for a total of (4).
2: Be sure that you use hard bolts, I believe they are Grade 8, and locknuts with locking washers are used. Here is a link on the UltraGuard you might check for additional info.
http://www.pplmotorhomes.com/parts/rv-tow-bars-dollies/...rd-splash-guards.htm We will consider a Protecta-A-Tow in the future but the UltraGuard did a good job of keeping debris off the toad.

JC2, thank you. I was originally going to get the Protect A Tow but I am running out of time. Wife wants something to protect the car but we are leaving on a trip in less than a week. It will be the first time we tow the car. The Ultraguard was choice #2.
If I buy and install the ultraguard, I was going to get the bracket. I was just trying to fiugre out how to mount it to the frame.

Thanks again

These people are a sponsor on IRV2 and are located in Redlands, Cal. If you are close and have the guard and need it installed or whatever, you might give them a call, explain the tight situation, and see if they can help. Might tell them you are a member of the IRV2.com website.

I installed the Ultraguard on my Class A. I mounted the mounting bar to the frame of the chasis and then used D rings to install the Flap to the bar. It works great as it swivels as the wind blows and can come over with little effort if needed.
