Does anyone know if I can install the towing baseplate on my 98 New Beetle without removing my aftermarket alluminum skid plate? I was wondering if the hanger at the front might be using the same bolt holes. Thank you.

I'll have to check tomorrow. I believe the hangers bolt to the bottom of the frame at the front end at the radiator. It looks like the blue ox reinforcement bolts to the side of the frame. The reason for the thread was that to check fitment I have to dig out my ramps and pull the side armour. I really hope the plate works since the length with a tow dolly would be really bad.
